Default Are the fish shops in Seabrook open?

I have not been to Seabrook in a while. Are the shops that sell Oysters and Shrimp still open?

I have a craving for Oysters. If they are open, which shop has the best value in seafood?

They have set up a few trailers and are selling out of them. I have not been down there to see for myself, but have friends who just bought shrimp last weekend. She said the trailers were clean and the shrimp were beautiful. It was later in the day when she went, and said the fish didn't look so great. Personally, I'm still not ready to eat anything that is coming out of the Bay. JMO tho

On new years eve I went down the whole stretch of Toddville and walked/drove/loitered in there with my camcorder. It was very busy down there by those markets. Right before the Pappadeau there is a chicken-wire type fence blocking off access but the rest of the buildings that weren't obliterated were bustling.

I wouldn't eat anything out of there at all - the water was pretty dark brown on that day.

The oyster beds are in bad shape as they were covered by silt and may not recover for years.

Having said that, there are some shops open. Best time to go is early on a Saturday AM or during the week.
