Favorite Urban Areas of Houston
I might actually be moving into the inner loop of Houston. However I honestly dont find a huge difference between the inner-loop life (within 610) and living within the outerloop (within Beltway-8). But I digress...
I could possibly be moving into the TMC and wont have much energy nor patience to really drive around so could anybody that lives the inner-loop life tell me a great place to just hangout for a few hours and relax (preferably within walking distance). Are there specific neighborhoods that i should know about.
I really dont want to venture all the way to Montrose or Rice village; But if there are some great nooks people can let me in on, i could possibly check them out on the weekends.

Is there anyway you can please stay out of Montrose? It's enough all of the suburbanites come to our restaurants and bars at night and the weekends, we would rather not have another. Thanks.

Wow, really?
With that kind of attitude, I'd skip Montrose completely.

Yeah, business sucks. Air sandwiches and dirt cookies rule!
BTW, don't forget the lunchtime rush.

My sarcasm is directed at the OP's statement of not wanting to go "all the way to Rice Village or Montrose" when he contantly says he wants to be able to walk to places. I am sorry, but if things that are within a mile or two of where you live are too far for you to go, I don't know what else to say.
I can't imagine blocking myself off to only 56th to 69th streets and east of central park; but apparently EE can.
