I am definitely open to either of those options. That is how I got my foot into the HR field.

How about this? I am looking for simple data entry until I start teaching again next year. Nothing fancy, but decent pay as I type about 125 words a minute.

I will be visiting Houston in a month and I am looking to set up some appointments with employment and/or placement companies. I am interested in working in Human Resources; in a coordinator or generalist role.

I have experience but there are so many agencies in Houston and I was hoping to get feedback from folks regarding their respective experience with Houston staffing agencies to find out which agencies they recommend. I will be in Houston for a week (initially) simply to check out agencies and then return permanently in March. I do have family in League City and they love living (people, activities, etc.) in Texas.

Thanks so much for any replies...I will be attending two Job Fairs during the week I visit but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask about reputable staffing companies, as well.

Cheers,
Mcp
You should join a group called BJM ---Between The Jobs Ministry. It is very good. You have to attend at least one session to be put on their email distribution list for jobs. It is free, so don't worry. They meet on Wednesdays i believe, but you can stop by there to ask them about being included on the email list.

Between Jobs Ministry
Hi,
Interesting...does the "BJM" group require that one be Christian and/or religious to be a member? Because, I am neither...I am an enthusiastic Agnostic If they are a group that truly tries to assist others (regardless of their beliefs or lack thereof) than I will contact them.

Thanks for taking time to help,

Mcp

I'd check Craiglist.com as well... I've had a few interviews and job offers through there in the past.
