Default Steakhouses

Can anyone recommend a nice steakhouse near the Galleria where I can take my lady on her bday?

I'm looking for something along the lines of Capital Grille, something nice but nothing too formal where it requires a jacket/tie.

Pappas Steakhouse and Sullivans come to mind. They're both on Westheimer. I believe there's also a Morton's nearby. I've heard good things about Ruth's Chris but I wasn't too crazy about it the 2 times I've gone there.

Ah yes, Mortons. It's near Old Navy and Travel Lifestyles in that strip mall on Westheimer/Post Oak. I went with a long sleeve buttonup and Dockers, but that was awhile ago. Good stuff, highly worth checking out IMO if you want something reliable. Definitely debunks the "chains are trash" myth.

Del Frisco's is right by the Galleria. I haven't been yet. I hear it's a really nice place. Definitely pricey.

Welcome to Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse

I was going to recommend Flemings @ the intersection of Kirby and West Alabama. Great meal, good atmosphere and a surprisingly reasonable price.

Del Frisco's in the Galleria is definitely a good steak and definitely pricey. It feels like NY rather than TX.
