I am pretty clueless. I don't really understand recipe terminology that much. I need to stand beside a chef/cook and ask questions when the food is being prepared. I need to see it being made, thus a cookbook will do me no good. Thanks for the suggestions!

I would be totally bored trying to learn to cook while reading a book alone. I'd much rather take classes with other people.
