That's right. And, in my area (SW Houston), only the garbage that's in the trash bins is collected. If someone puts out anything alongside of the city-furnished garbage bins, the mechanical collection truck doesnt pick them up. Now the city is alternating the heavy trash pickups and the tree limbs etc pickups, picking up each only every other month.

The Woodlands had that service. Leaf Bags were a dollar a piece. You had to buy a frigging tag at the Kroger and tape it too them. If the claw couldn't get it, it didn't get taken. Fprget about bulk, it was once a month and you had to call for it. It was once a week pickup too. Boy did it stink in the summer around there.

Here I can put put out two cans, 20 bags, random boxes and bulk trash. It gets taken twice a day from all the way up my driveway behind my "trash can gate." BUT, if I forget to leave the driveway gate open...it's my own dang fault.

Someone needs to check their figures regarding the number of new employees Methodist hired within the past year. My husband and I relocated from MI this past summer and we are both employed at Methodist. In addition to my being hired there were three other employees in my department that were hired within a six month period.

Are you saying Fortune magazine published inaccurate data? Maybe you and your husband and your colleagues are just exceptional.

I believe that the 67 figure means new jobs created. I certainly believe that The Methodist Hospital hired more than 67 people last year. Nursing alone probably hires that in a 3 month period.

It also says that there are 400 openings as of Jan. 13, 2009. But 135,639 applicants.

The Fortune data is confusing even if accurate.
