The ragweed has been especially bad this year, must've been perfect conditions for it.

Me...since last week. HORRIBLE. My ears are clogged, my eyes are itchy & my nose is a faucet.

I take the shots at home now - 2 injections a week (dust, mold, pollen, ragweed). I have been doing it for over 3 years now. It does truly help. But it takes time to build up your resistance. You need to be patient with it. Also, my doc wrote me a scrip for a new allergy med called Xyzal. It is great. I had been on Allegra D for 12 years and had become immune to it. This new stuff is very good and the pills are tiny. I also find that local natural honey taken daily helps as well. Also, I am told that during ragweek season, one should eliminiate banana, melon, walnut and pecan from their diets if possible. Those foods mimic the irritants of ragweed. I can promise for me this is true with banana at least.

Good luck!

Since last December, my Allergies were very bad. I had to go on Zertec, that did the trick but made my drowsy. It was not working last month so I went to the doctor and got Singular and Xyzal, very good Rx but I am also getting Allergy shots to get immune to the Houston air.
