Since Lifetime Fitness has on site childcare it makes using their in-house hair salon very appealing for a SAHM with a toddler. However, I am a bit nervous about using someone unknown to me without a thumbs up from a current Lifetime Salon client. Can anyone recommend a Lifetime Salon in or around Houston or a particular hairdresser at a Houston area Lifetime Salon who is good with highlights and haircuts?

I was going there... and they kept giving me "mom" highlights. Yeah, she'd foil them. Yeah it'd take the two hours. Yeah you'd think they were going to be great... but they'd turn out looking like mid 90s, thru a cap, high lights. Not modern at all... This was at the Willowbrook location. They are also NEVER busy.... which is also a sign of their "quality"... oh and Aveda pulled out of their salons a year and a half ago too.. I don't know the story why.. but suddenly there was no Aveda backing.

And they charge like $40 for each additional bowl.. So like a base of 110... but if you want white, white highlights.. with a caramel tone... and a chestnut tone... that's like $190.... and it's not even a relaxing salon type vibe for that price.... That's more expensive than Aveda salons.

I go to Michelle at Alan Murphy in Vintage Park.
She does the BEST HIGHLIGHTS.
