I am thinking about moving to the Woodlands, it seems like a very nice area. However, I am concerned about the commute from there to the intersection of main street and I-10. Can anyone give me an idea of what the commute time is, both during rush hour and also leaving about 9.15am to downtown, and returning about 8pm to the woodlands?

Also, any insight into what living in the Woodlands would be like would be great! Is the long commute to Houston worth it?

Default Conroe Resident

Takes me 45 minutes to drive from Conroe to Church which is locate near Main and I-45. 15 minutes to the Woodlands, from there 15 minutes to Beltway. Yadddy Yaddy Ya.

If you are leaving at 9 a.m. then returning at 8 p.m. you are outside the major traffic windows except for unplanned accidents. If you exit outgoing before fm 242 i.e. Lake Woodlands Prky you should miss most of the outgoing traffic.

As far as the area....it's worth the commute.

Live long and Prosper!
