What is CityCentre? I thought they were owned by Benihana?

Went to Azuma over on Kirby in the Village. Not so impressed with the food. The place is nice inside and has a good feel, but the chefs did not engage with us at the bar like other places and the food did not "blow us away"

And sorry for my faux paus about City Centre - I realize now that is a location......

if you want a chit chatty chef, try Mr. Miyagi on Bellaire Blvd in chinatown. he's in the first stripmall right after Halliburton@Beltway

Not exactly a "chit chat" kind of chef....but the kind that says "here try this....on the house". Kinda cool when you have a chef that shares a little with his patrons.

I used to only go to Kirin on Westheimer before they closed. Now I'm loyal to Todai, even if they are a bit more. It's not the best sushi in the world, but I like the huge selection of other things as well.

There is a new Sushi place just south of downtown called Crave Sushi...opened up about 4 weeks ago. I ate their once, I thought it was ok, but a friend of mine was a sushi chef, and I got a bit spoiled with my sushi experiences and available options.

Zake is indeed at West Alabama/S. Shepherd, in the old Alabama theater building. This is quite a haul from downtown for a lunch run though.
