Y'all must have forgotten that Mexicans come to America, so they need to adapt to our culture not necessarily the other way around.

Well, Mexicans are by far the largest ethnic group here in Houston. I guess we do have to adapt to them in a lot of ways.

LOL..adjust to what culture? The thousands of Mexican Restaurants, Taco Trucks and Western/Cowboy boot and clothing stores? Texas' culture is closely tied to Mexican culture because of Texas' unique history and ties to Mexico. This is not Maine or Oregon. I'm sure that most people make every attempt to "adjust".

When I taught in 5th ward all the mexican kids had southern accents. They do in 3rd ward too. I hear it a lot in Aldine also

I never said all of them spoke that way, but there is a population of them who do. It depends on their surroundings.

How so? Aside from seeing them everywhere, Mexican culture has no impact on my own personal culture.
