Hi everyone!

Well, I was all set to purchase from David Weekley in Lakes of Bella Terra and am now having to scrap the deal Moderator cut: consumer complaint. So, I'm almost starting from scratch. Now I have to decide if I want to pursue Lakes of Bella Terra w/ Newmark Homes or Sienna Plantation w/ Mercedes Homes. Anyone have any advice??

Westres1 - I have a realtor but I like to draw information from a myriad of sources and people. Do you have anything further to offer?

Newmark is much better than Mercedes who ,like EA said, is rumored to be about to go under.

Great thanks!! I started looking that up after reading the post and am so glad I asked. I will be visiting Newmark tomorrow because I really love Lakes of Bella Terra and was so upset at David Weekley homes. This has been the biggest headache and I'm hoping it will get better tomorrow. Thanks!!

Lakes of Bella Terra is hurting, with builders pulling out. Sienna is a much better area. I would however do your research. Newmark Homes parent company TOUSA..inc. is in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Being in the building industry, I would only purchase from a select few production builders. One of which is in Sienna Plantation....Trendmaker Homes.

Thanks for the info Houston321. I'm pleased with the home I ultimately selected and I am happy with Bella Terra. It is beautiful, quiet, has some very nice families. I did know that Newmark's parent company was in bankruptcy (has been for a minute now). I think any "new development" is most likely slow right now. The entire market is slow, so of course new developments aren't going to progress as planned (before the meltdown). I think once the market picks up, these developments will pick up as well (Bella Terra and Aliana). I do appreciate the info though!
