Texas user has some connection through the company he/she uses. I remember he/she posted the company name a while back, and I called the same day to check their rates. They were more than 10 cents a kWh.

7.5 cents fixed is hard to believe. He just should ask his parents again, they will know. I'm paying 10 cents.

"employee pricing" for electric service? WTF is up with that, my friend? Why don't any of you REP's just cut the smoke and mirror "promotion" crap and just be competitive and try to earn more business by actually providing excellent no hassle customer service?

Thanks for the heads up. I've used Champion for the past year, no problems. I'll lock in again if their "employee pricing" is the best deal.

I looked at the "employee pricing". Should we expect a Hurricane Recovery Fee on all carriers? I mean, it was 2 years ago.

Default Rock Bottom Rates right now!

I just renewed my parents and myself with Champion at 8.7 cents/kWh last week. Prices in Houston have gone up a bit since then but they are still under 10 cents. Dallas has even lower rates. I have a friend at Champion and he sent me his employee promo code... CHAMP143 ... Now is a great time to lock in a rate before summer hits.

The promo code gives a 0.1 cent/kWh discount off the advertised rates as well as access to the Power Champ plans... they have a higher monthly fee but lower energy charge, this is a killer deal if you have a home that uses over 2000 kWh a month.

Just locked in a few minutes ago at 10.1 cents for a year with StarTex Power.
They're also giving me a $10 discount off next month's bill for extending for a year.
