Hmm, 35 looks pretty over the hill in Montrose, esp if you're a female (perhaps it's still a 30-somethings' gheytto):

Downtown even moreso (good God, what a sausagefest):

Yet 35 & young families look pretty usual in the Heights

Compare to Sugar Land:

Sugar land and The Heights look kinda similar until you look at age 20. It's no wonder EEStudent says what he does!!!!

I love these graphs, BTW. It really lets you know who's putting a plug on an area based on the truth or utter B.S.

I think you would like downtown or mid town. Age is only as old as you feel!

Nice graphs but they don't tell you who is married or single, I bet 80% of the 30+ year olds in Sugarland are married. The married/single stat would probably be a little scewed in the Montrose area.

I'm not saying there aren't families inside the loop, but there is a hell of a lot to do as far as the single scene goes.

PLLLLEEEAAASSSEE tell me a place in Houston that is for people in the 20's that doesnt have bouncers checking ID's at the door. Guaranteed any place you can come up with I can visit and within hmm about a 3 hour window I will find at least one child up in there.

As for the people that say I dont live here and yet i Still talk about it, trust me Im in Houston about 80 hours a week. I just dont sleep in houston and thats about it.

Posts about my opinions are just a testament to the elitest notions of all inner-loopers in Houston. Trust me darling life in Houston doesnt change much if you live within the loop or outside of it. I've spent enough time both in and out to make that statement.

And dont one of y'all live in Boston?

A mighty portion of those were bars and pubs, which basically imply that you have to be 21 to do anything. I was referring to just a casual place that is more like a lounge without bouncers. More of a hang-out place rather than a bar or pub.

Is there a place that is left untouched by young families? A place that isnt a smokey-stale bar? is there anything sacred which people know not to bring a family.

Are you talking about coffee lounges? There are plenty of those are as well.

I don't see too many familys at the places I mention earlier, but I don't care either way. They do their thing, and I do mine.

There is a smoking ban in Houston so no more stale smokey air and most of the places listed do not have bouncers. They are not dance clubs. Hang out in your college student center or bookstore.

Most people enjoy spending time with their family.

Why is it "elitist" to think your opinions are wrong when you so clearly demonstrate that you have no grasp on the truth? On one hand you say you know Houston, but then you ask for a list of places that fit a certain description. Considering there are so many places "that is for people in the 20's that doesnt have bouncers checking ID's at the door" and you aren't aware of any of them indicates that you don't know what you're talking about, not that other people are elitists.

Is ignorance truly bliss, or is that just some silly old trite aphorism?

Well i asked for a list of places because all of the places i've noticed within Houston have a very keen characteristics. Such as, being infested with family goers and the single folk are forced to frequent places that are bars and clubs.

I could possibly check out coffee bars perhaps i could do my homework and chill with some drank. lol
