I have been a police officer in the Houston Conroe area for many years. I would not want to live there myself. While there are many good people living there , the few that are bad make it an undesireable place to live in my humble openion.

I live in Imperial Oaks (down from FR), and I would not want to live there...there is good and bad everywhere, but for me, no. Now, saying this, there is a wonderful place 2 mins from FR that would be great if your looking for a lower priced neighborhood that is nice. Its Forest Village. Takes about 4 months to build your house, and dont forget, the $8000 tax credit(if you qualify) if you buy before Dec 1st. Check it out...

There are many GREAT areas across from The Woodlands that will save you a ton of money in price per square footage and home owner’s dues--Imperial Oaks, Legend's Ranch, Estates of Legend's Ranch, Bender's Landing, and Spring Trails. Heck, even Harper's Landings of The Woodlands is on the east side of I-45! It's a lot more convenient than half of The Woodlands. And the houses are just as nice as any of the homes in The Woodlands.

However, Fox Run isn't one of the places I would even consider living. Some houses are well kept, most are not. There are many, many wonderful people there, but there are quite a few undesirable people living there also.

For what it's worth I would buy a house in Legends Run (KB Homes) before I purchased a house in Fox Run, but that's just my opinion and you can take it for what it's worth.

It is obvious that not one of you know what you are talking about. Legends Run, Imperial Oaks, Benders landing, has more crime in their area than Fox Run and this information is coming from The montgomey county sheriffs office. It is true that Fox run is an older sub 30 yrs old. however, it is just as nice as any place, except the houses are older. give imperial oaks about another 5 years, and see what happens.
