Well, it's everywhere, but I think there is a lot more variety in the Inner Loop. It's best to live there if that is a priority in your life and space is not.

I'm glad you consider those areas "interesting". News reporters consider them "interesting" too. Stay safe!
I know right---only if "urban" and "interesting" mean getting shanked unexpectedly. No thanks!

What type of culture are you looking for and if you're looking for culture, where are you looking at?

Every city has its downsides when it comes to weather(unless if you live like within San Diego).

But the thing I like most about this place, and probably a large reason why a majority of 20somethings, is the job oppurtunities. As a student at UH im very fortunate to be living next to Houston, where the job market for Engineers is better than the rest of the country. Other than that and a few other things, there is very little i like about houston.

I like all the crybabies who bemoan the lack of things to do while sitting behind their computers all day posting comments on City-Data and playing World of Warcraft.

IMO, Houston is #1 city in USA for the poor & the middle class people, natives or immigrants...

A no-contest winner.

For the rich guys,San Diego,LA & Miami would compete...

But that can't be correct, Houston is home to more millionaires per capita than just about any US city. Are you sure you have the right board?

I checked well.Hou is #1 in affordability,
despite the number of millionaires
it is the most "poor -friendly " big city...

A couple of poor newcomers can live the American Dream...

While SD,LA,MI are clearly "anti-poor"...
