Question No Verizon or AT&T DSL service in Sugar Land?

I have been searching for an alternative to Comcast cable internet service in Sugar Land (zip 77478); when I went to Verizon and AT&T web sites and enter my address to see what DSL plans they have, I'm surprised to find that they can't locate my address (I live in the Woodbridge subdivison, couple of miles north of Sugar Land airport on highway 6); The only DSL service I found in my area is from Windstream, but their prices are high. Like cable, are there monopolies in DSL too now? Does anyone have DSL from Verizon, AT&T in Sugar Land area? Thanks in advance.

Last I checked, Comcast and Windstream were the only choices where I live in Sugar Land, too. After my customer service experiences with Comcast, I decided that Windstream could charge me whatever they want and I would happily pay it just to avoid Comcast.

I'm surprised they don't have ATT U-Verse out in Sugarland. I would think Sugarland would have had it before Pearland. I just switched over from Comcast and love it.

Seriously? The only internet offers in Sugarland are through Windstream and Comcast? I'm about to move there, and find it hard to believe, since I'm coming from a town of 2000 people in North Alabama and I have more options than that here?

Does anyone else have any suggestions for internet?
