Default Housing market in Dickinson

I had to transfer to Alaska in November. The only problem is we are a little worried about selling our home there in Dickinson. Has anyone noticed the market in Dickinson? Our home came through like a champ after Ike rolled through.

The market for Dickinson ,is the same as many areas of the area ..it is not Dickinson it is every where in middle to moderate homes ...slow....money to loan has tightened...and credit and jobs slow as in all middle income cities....The average home sells best in summer and it need to be in ready to move in status. Most people do not have the time to buy fixer uppers....It is important to keep and maintain the curb appeal and the inside must be properly cared for..I am glad your home came through like a champ after Ike....most house in Dickinson ,did well ...It was in Sea Brook , San Leon ,Bay Cliff and Galveston that suffered While most of Dickinson and Santa Fe fared very well.. A good relationship with a experience Professional Realtor that will give you constant feed back is key as is you doing your part...You get what you give and take...So be responsible and do your part...and expect what the market will bare...when there are lots of new homes in the area it is important to present your home listing in tip top shape...to get the fair market value,It is a buyers market.
I wish you the best.
