Default Visiting Houston in 3 Weeks!! what to do??

Hi there, I decided to fly into Houston for a few days and would like to get some suggestions on what there is to do?

Also, I am big on walking around neighborhoods and taking photos and would love suggestions on neighborhoods to check out.

What areas of town should I try and avoid?

What kind of weather can I expect Mid April? I'll be up April 16-20th.

Thanks,

Daniel

Hope you enjoy it there- I used to live in Houston.

We have a thread going on an area called Houston Heights which is not too far from Downtown and is easy to walk around.

It is one of the older more tranquil, and in part, zany areas of Houston.

Walk around Rice Village and the neighborhoods nearby like South Hampton. North and South Blvd are gorgeous streets to photograph.

Is this a joke? What are you visiting Houston for exactly? And how on earth did you choose these areas of all places? You should start with them on your list of areas to avoid.

I think the best area to walk around is the Museum District. It's a very beautiful area. You have all the museums, Rice University, and Herman Park.

Two of the affordable hotels are located in that area. IS there a part of town that is safer with budget lodgings?
