Summer camps (Houston, Sugar Land, Katy: daycare, house, YMCA) - City-Data Forum

Anyone know of any good summer camps for the kiddos this summer? I have a 2 yr old and a 4 year old and I am looking for somewhere in either Sugar Land and Katy. Thanks!

look for the "summer Book" at your local bookstore or whole foods. It is a yearly list of ALL the area camps with details and pricing. My friend publishes theis book annually and it is very informative.

We live in Katy and my kids take classes at The Little Gym and LOVE it! The teachers are so loving and they are learning a lot about by just being with other kids (not to mention becoming less and less clumsy thanks to the Gymnastics skills they are learning, etc). One of the ladies there was telling me that they do summer camps and I am probably going to enroll my 2 kiddos. She said they do gymnastics, games, crafts, and snack... so I bet they will be nice and tired by the end of it all. Anyone done camp here before? How was it?

I will also look into the summer book, sounds cool!

We have done The Little Gym camps in the past at at a different location. They are good but a tad pricey for the 3 hours. Our location was very flexible on days...you could choose how many and which days you wanted to enroll. I would recommend the camps to others.

I saw the summer book at Barnes and Nobles.

I think the more you sign up for, the more discount you get. I am just happy with the location (close to the house) and the fact that my kids get excited about going. There is no dragging them out of the house... and I get time to run errands, clean house, or go into work (I work part-time) for a couple of hours!

Young Chefs Academy Sugar Land Summer Camp 'The Great Kitchen Mystery' starts June 9, 2009. 3-day camp from 9-12 or 4-day camp from 1-4.

Mom and me program also available for children ages 4-6.

We offer camps for all ages from TK-Campzone, Power K, Icamp, and even an Extreme Camp. Our school has a year long waiting list for the little one's and joining our camps gives you a wonderful opportunity to see why that is the case. I believe one of the local mom's groups puts on a little fair featuring all the MANY summer camps in Katy. I will try to figure out when and where it is this year. I know the Y has great camps, as do many daycare centers. The Imagination Campus on 1093 had awesome camps last summer.
