My sister is getting married this fall and as maid-of-honor I need to throw her a Bridal Shower. She's in Houston and I'm not so I need some help finding a location to host the Shower.

I'm looking for a nice Tea Room, Cafe or Restaurant that has a small private room/area (10-15 people), reasonably priced for an afternoon tea or light appetizers.

She lives in the area around the Galleria, but I'm open to locations in other parts of town (just not too far away).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Ashland House Restaurant

Ashland House is not far away from the Galleria at all. It's in Spring Branch, on Westview near Afton Oaks.

What's the new name of the Hotel next to the Jr League? It has afternoon tea and is really nice. I went to a baby shower there a couple of times.

Isn't that the St. Regis? They do have a nice afternoon tea. I bet many of those Galleria hotels could provide room for an afternoon tea. The Hotel Derek may be another one to look into.

Hmm... another good place is the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center on Woodway. Rooms looking out over the forest.
