My daughter is moving to Houston and she is looking at the Forest Pointe Apartments at 13030 Northborough Drive, 77067. Is this a safe area? We don't really know anyone in Houston and could use some advice. They need something safe, but economical.

Is there an area anyone could recommend? Thanks!

Not the best area in my opinion. Plenty of auto thefts and burglary.

Northborough? There off of Greens Road? Very rough area.

that area is really bad, Ella Blvd and Cypress Station isn't much better. Forget anything behind Gunspoint, I mean Greenspoint mall or on Greens parkway.

If they need something north, go on up to the Woodlands. Possibly some places up on Cypresswood or Louetta.

The friendliness of the apartment staff isn't a good indicator of where to live or not live. Long story short, I would not want my daughter living "in the hood", which is what the OP asked about.

Modster wasn't kidding about the "Gunspoint" mall area being called that by Houstonians.

Go west - or go north of there

You stayed there or lived there? I'm confused.
