Hey folks,
I need your help.. I'm from San Antonio. I'm just wondering whether someone gives me a idea about the shuttle service between IAH and Hobby.... What is the cheapest, easiest and quickest way to get from Hobby to IAH?

Due to checked baggage fees, I have to use Southwest Airlines and it uses Hobby instead of IAH.. I'll probably have two bags, so in that case what will be the most convenient way to reach IAH from Hobby (return as well)?

Quote:
Coach USA offers an "Airport Express" shuttle service between the two airports every 30 minutes. The estimated travel time is 70 minutes and the cost is $17.00 per person. The shuttles pick-up passengers from the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. For more information you may call Coach USA at (713) 523-8888.

Any experience with the above service??? Please let me know... I'm very confused...

Waiting for your response....

Thanks in advance...

Only shuttle service I know of is called a cab. It's quite a distance between the 2 airports.

Yerp.

You might as well just pay the baggage fees and skip SWA/Hobby if you're going to call a cab.

METRO Trip Planning - Houston, Texas
According to Metro, you can take the bus and make 1 transfer and have a total trip time of about 2 hours. I don't know where the bus stops are at the airports.
That is the cheapest way. Obviously not the easiest.

Other than that, you can take a cab, rent a car for the day, or beg a Houston friend to drive you. The airports are 30 miles apart.

I'd do the $17 dollar thing - how bad could it be?

Dear All,
Thank you so much for your time and helps. Actually not only the baggage cost, there are also some other factors(flight time of continental, return flight schedule) which made me think about SouthWest Airlines... but now I've decided not to use Southwest as it'll give me lots of hassles even it wont save that much $$$... So, I'm gonna book my tickets @Continental....

Thank you once again...

SW can be a great airline to fly with, but in your case it seemed like more hassle that it was worth! Good luck with your trip!
