Is spring over in Houston already?
I was just wondering if spring is over, by that I mean all the leaves are on the trees and all the spring flowers are done.
I took a look on the Weather Channel's website and it said for the month of March, Houston has stayed between 81 F and 36 F; sounds very spring-like.

Well it's snowing up in Amarillo today. I'd imagine we'll get some of that cooler weather this weekend.

No, spring isn't close to being over. There are still some barren trees in my area that haven't gotten the memo.

Ah, a fellow snowbird! What part of Canada did you "escape" from?
Spring is sort of just starting lately here, but I still see traces of snow; remnants of old 5 foot high snow banks that are now about a foot high.
The cardinals have just come back and one neighbour has crocus in bloom. I don't understand how that's possible; they probably "cheated" and bought already blooming bulbs then stuck them in the ground.

That's good to hear!
Although I'm a big fan of summer weather, I also love to watch spring happen. Some years we go straight from cold to hot, and spring is over here in about 3 weeks.

Summer is Swimmming time. Sailing off Kemah... Diving to the flower gardens. Entertain in the morning or evening in summer. I sit under the Magnolia tree sipping mint julips , cabernet, or Martini. We do lots of swimming and jacuzzi time. Summer is great! Drink Lots of water and get a neck cooler. It lowers your body temperature.. it works for me when I am gardening... You can get them I think at The high priced gadget shops at the galleria. One has to be clever to live in Texas, if one is not , North Carolina will be more attractive.

Eh? No, I never lived in Canada. I lived in Snow territory for 11 yr and slipped and ruptured 2 disks in my back. Will never go to Snowville , Anywhere again to live. I prefer the warm humidity of Houston, is keeps my complexion attractive. Don't hate me because I am beautiful!
