Default spring/woodlands

We just got back from our trip to the area.. I love the woodlands area... but quite truthfully wasnt crazy about the home sections. Yes they had some beautiful homes but I felt like I was in a jungle lol... We did go across 45 to the spring 77386 zip code and it was treed and beautiful too but not overbearing especially in the neighborhood we loved which was Imperial lakes(inside Imperial oaks) the pricing on new homes is much lower on the spring side vs a woodlands address..You definetly get more bang for your buck and stay in the Conroe school district and be a 10 min drive to the "woodlands" shopping area..There is an older section in Imperial Oaks but for the most part is relatively new...
We did also take a trip into Katy and we liked it too the neighborhood we liked was firethorne and at this point it is in the middle of nowhere. Eventually it will be built up like everything else.. All brand new beautiful clubhouse great schools nice lots but no trees at all . It was built on cow pastures.. and the pricing was slightly higher..But its growing so it is great potential.. So we are trying to decide... We are leaning towards Spring but want to make a final decsion next week.. So if anyone can give me pros and cons of both places to try to make my decison a little easier it would be greatly appreciated TIA

Default difference in weather

I have been reading there is a big difference in the weather in the winter in the woodlands/spring area vs Katy.. Katy being warmer in the winter.. is that correcct??..
Also does anyone know for resale purposes.. is it more desireable to have a woodlands address vs a spring address(and I mean the 77386 zip code which is right across 45 10 min away) Thanks

Spring/Woodlands if you want lots of trees...

Katy if you don't mind having fewer trees/prairie setting and want easy access to drive areas west (i.e. Austin, San Antonio)

Katy is not that far from Spring or The Woodlands so I can't imagine why there would be a big change in weather...as for spring versus woodlands address, it's more of a Jones thing then anything else..If I found a house ten minutes from a Woodlands address for less money I would take it...I live in Spring also but I am next door to Tomball, cross a major street and your in Tomball but trhere is no difference, we share the same stores etc..
