All of the accounting firms and companies use Monster and CareerBuilder, so I would focus my search to those job sites. In this economy, not as many will use headhunting firms, so they aren't getting as many jobs thrown their way.

I like Indeed.com better than Monster and CareerBuilder...I'm not sure why, I guess I just like the user interface better. I also love the Personal Search Agent function so that you don't have to surf the site all the time...you can just set up keyword searches to do the work for you.

Careful on that site. There are a lot of fake jobs set up by search firms to get people in the door.

Same with Monster and CareerBuilder, though. I just love (NOT!) the companies that pretend to be a recruiting company and then when you go to meet with them, they try to sell you "career marketing services" for $5-10K (depending on your previous income level) where they say they will introduce you to the "hidden job market." If you pay the money, you get traditional career advice that shouldn't cost anywhere near that much money and then they give you outdated database listings from something like Dun and Bradstreet and call that helpful.
One of my work colleagues paid $8K and he thought he was getting a personal agent, just like celebrities and sports stars. By the time he figured out how the scam worked, it was too late to get his money back without going to arbitration. And the contract said he waived his right to sue. I felt really sorry for him and I wish I had known him before he paid the money because I could have warned him.
