We are putting our CA home on the market (open house Sunday May 3) so we can FINALLY move to our Conroe TX home...(as of April 16 we have owned the TX home one year already!!)

We have spent every non working waking moment painting, recarpeting, repairing, relandscaping, upgrading, redecorating, updating light fixtures and door hardware, spit-shining every square inch of the CA home (these days, especially in places like CA, you can't simply mop the floors and put up a for sale sign, it has to be "turn-key")

So this probably explains why I haven't posted on the forum for awhile !!

Last Wednesday we hit a "snag"....while running around like wild people working on the above exhausting list, hubby was taking a box out to the garage....missed a step....

BROKE HIS FOOT !!!!!!!!

.....so with last minute exhausting list items to complete in the eleventh hour, two of our boys are spending *their* nonworking waking hours helping us reach our fast approaching deadline...Thank God for them !!!!!

So please everyone....think good thoughts, keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer for us, do some crazy native dance, whatever you do for good luck!!!

We hope to sell CA and move to TX by the end of the summer!!

THANKS EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

ps...anyone wanna buy a super nice home in CA ??????

I think you probably told me, but where city are you in again...was it Sonoma? We've lived in Napa like 4 different times.

We live in Rohnert Park, and I work in Petaluma...about 20 minutes-ish from Napa

Yeah, somethings we will miss....somethings we won't

We've been going to TX about 4 times a year now, have some friends (actually believe it or not, one of the couples we are friends with live in Spring, and were hubby's best friends in Jr High and High School --in Santa Rosa CA ! )

We didn't know they lived there until after we had being going back and after we contracted to buy our Conroe house !!! Talk about a small world huh???

A coworker of mine from here moved to Clearlake about 2 months ago (she loves it BTW)

Now I know that in July/August we will think we are ready to spontaneously combust, but that is why God gave us A/C and swimming pools...

We are ready for a change...change can be good!

Can't wait!!!
