Yeah, they are! Take I-10 exit Studemont, go down on studemont and once you pass the Walgreens they will be on your left. The next gay club( and bars) is maybe 2 miles or less away. They are right next door. I would consider this still Montrose. Montrose is not a large area...
It's right there where they are building this new gigantic building. WOuld be the perfect location to me.
And the other link dosen't work it seems. Here is another:
Windsor Communities : Texas: Windsor at SienaHome Page
Might also check out City Visa
CityVista - Apartments in Houston
Both are kinda pricey, but I don't know of anything nicer in that area

That isn't Montrose...IMO, if you're not living in 77006, you're not living in Montrose and even then there are parts of 77006 that are Midtown (or a combo of something else). To me, the boundaries are west of Dunlavy, south of West Gray, east of Bagby and north of 59.

Well, Montrose is maybe 3 miles wide. I would still say it's montrose - "outskirts" of it.
And the homes in Montrose ( besides that area ) are not very desirable in my opinion. Handful of nice homes... but probably very expensive.

Agreed. Not Montrose. The vibe lessens considerably north of West Gray.

You can say it's Montrose all you want. That doesn't make it so. I've lived there before, and now live not far from it, but I don't say I live in the Montrose because I don't. I live near the Heights, too, but I don't say I live there either because I don't.

Neartown Houston - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Well , these apartments are perhaps 0.25 miles from Allen Parkway. Still "Montrose feeling" to me.

There's definitely nothing wrong with not being Montrose though. I live a half a mile away from Back Bay (Boston) and as much as I would love to say I live there, I'm a Fenway-er through and through.

Are there nice parks or bike trails near the Montrose? Also, does anyone have any ideas for finding a property listing agent that could connect me with a good apartment in the area? I'm looking for a one bedroom under 900 a month. And how much do utilities usually go in Houston during the summer? I'd imagine apartment complex's don't generally cover utilities due to the ridiculous heat.

Hermann isn't any really any further away too. You have some smaller ones around. People do walk and ride bikes along the streets - this is one of the better spots in town for it.

That area is not even the outskirts of Montrose, that is Memorial Heights. I am sure it is fine for some people, but to me it looks like a giant piece of boring suburbia planted in the middle of the city.
