Moving from MN to Katy, TX
My husband got a job offer recently in Katy. The line of work he is in here has took a turn for the worse since the economy changed. We are struggeling here and think that this job offer might be good for us.
I have been looking for rental housing and jobs for myself but not having much luck. We would like to rent a house before we buy. Does anyone know where to find houses for rent?
For employment, I am recently in the aviation field and would like to stay in that but havent found to many airline jobs that fit my skills. Would anyone know of any job in the aviaiton field?

Yes, we have 4 kids. 3 are school age. (jr high and elementary) We have friends that live in so katy. We would like to stay kinda close to them.
Ive tried that site but not a whole lot in the area we were looking. Not sure what the area is like north of where are friends are. I would believe No of I-10. I know we need to get something we can afford but I dont want to jump on a good deal but the neighborehood isnt so great.

I grew up in South Minneapolis, moved to SE Texas in 91. I dont think I could move back now. Weather is better, property (especially in the burbs) is more affordable (property tax is a bite, though!), and people are more friendly. You will like the Katy area, many professionals from the energy industry reside there.
