Cool Areas of Houston you have lived in

I was feeling a little nostalgic today, so I decided to go visit the place where I grew up over 20 years ago. (77009) It just made me think about how many places in the Houston area I have actually lived--quite a few in 20 years IMO. It was interesting to see how the area had changed (or hadn't changed). It also reminded me how early I had to get up to go to all the great magnet schools that were not in my neighborhood! (Roberts ES, Pershing MS, Westside HS) Looking over all the neighborhoods, it seems they trended upward...I guess that's good. What about you? Where have you lived in Houston?

Neighborhoods I have lived in (and when):
77009 (Northside Village?; 1987-1994)
77031 (Fondren Southwest; 1994-1999)
77074 (Sharpstown; 1999-2002)
77042 (Briar Forest; 2002-2004)
77077 (Eldridge/West Oaks; 2004-2006)
77006 (Montrose; 2006-2009)

I've only lived in Houston proper since January '07, here on the S/SW side off South Main. Fondren Southwest is not too far from here...

I was born in Texas City and lived in La Marque for the first couple years, then lived in Texas City until I was 20. Then I lived in Alvin for a little less than four years. Spent a year in NC and came back home in '07.

I've been here since '90. I still remember my first apt. over on Ocee street named Spring Meadows (77063). Since then I've lived in 77042, 77477, 77478, 77489, 77074. I drove by that complex a few months ago and the buildings are all the same except maybe a little more run down. There was a Mexican restaurant on the corner of Ocee and Richmond called Cyclone Anaya's that my friends and I at the time used to frequent. The place is still there but Anaya's is gone, long gone by the looks of it. There was also a little burger stand across the street that had the best gyros in town, even better than Niko Niko's but that's no longer there either.

In Houston:

Westchase, Briargrove Park/West Memorial (nice for the most part)
Willowbrook, Bammel/lower Spring (outside of the individual subdivisions did not like it at all, and was far out)
Sugar Land/Missouri City (nice but a little far out)
Sugar Land/Richmond (nice but a little far out... doing it for the kids/schools)
