Hello board, my family is relocating to Tomball, TX in September from New York. We have 1 toddler and will have an infant later in November. I need to know how easy is it to get a full-time housekeeper/babysitter (I will be open to considering live-ins) and how much it costs? Also, any updated info on childcare options? Here in NY I pay $220 per week for the toddler. I really would prefer they be watched at home.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Lots of ladies wanting to work as a daily babysitter/ housekeeper will post notices in neighborhood churches. Perhaps you could call a church near the home you are buying?

Welcome.

I would suggest that you consider going through an agency, or at least make sure that your provider is licensed. If you go through an agency, you will not have to worry about taxes, vacation, etc.

220.00 per week sounds about right for a toddler at a good center.
