We pay $65 for bi-weekly cleaning. There are 3 ladies that come and get done in around 1.5 hours.

Anyone located up in the NE/Atascocita/Kingwood area? I had a lady (Caucasian) come biweekly for $100, but she did a spotless job. I would still pay that, just looking for something cheaper.

I've been looking around and found the price inside the Loop to be $75-100 for a cleaning. (from an independent)

What makes me laugh is that a lot of people I know of who pay someone else to do their cleaning could do to lose some weight.
How lazy do you have to be to get someone else to clean up your mess after you?

It depends on a person's schedule Grunn. Are you talking about someone who puts in 50+ hours of work and has to come home to take care of their kids? Or are you talking about someone who works 9-5 with no dependents and just sits on the couch?
Anyways, I was actually interested in getting some help myself. I cut my on grass but I will be living a lone in a 2500 sqft for several months soon and wanted to find someone to help with the restrooms and kitchen. I can do my own laundry.. I am near 290 and N Fairbanks ..or 77040..
Any info would be appreciated

Sometimes it isn't a matter of lazy - sometimes it is a matter of a busy or demanding lifestyle and lack of time.

That's a little insensitive. Some people like myself are allergic to dust.
I am a nurse and I work my butt off so I am not going to come home after a 12 hour shift and clean my house, even if I am over weight.

If anyone found those comments offensive then that's an issue for themselves and how they obviously feel they apply rather than myself. I was merely commenting on people I know who use maid service and appear to be lazy and fat.
I work hard, can afford maid service yet clean the house myself. Guess I don't like the idea of having a stranger in the house, find it good exercise- saves me a gym session and like to look after myself. Similarly I maintain my own yard, service my own car and even manage to park it myself when I go out rather than leaving some dodgy wide boy to scream round the block in it.
I guess I just don't get the 'convenience' lifestyle favoured by many here in Houston. Maybe that's why I'm not 100lbs overweight?
