Red face Texas Medical Center area rentals

I will be moving to Houston in June and need to be close to the Medical Center area. I prefer something new (apartments, condos, etc.) Anyone know of any new or recent construction in that area?

I've done some research and come across 2 places I like.
(1) Metropole -3616 Richmond
any ideas as far as the commute from there to the medical center? Mapquest says it's about 5 miles.
(2) 2600 Gramercy Park Condos

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments are really appreciated.

Default do NOT rent at 2600 Gramercy

I live at 2600 Gramercy now and it is AWFUL.
read the reviews on apartmentratings.com. http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate...1&gobutton.y=7
on top of that, a few things that weren't mentioned... the elevators (there are two) rarely work. I know of two handicapped residents who have been stranded in their apartments because they couldn't use the stairs (just a few days ago, one of them had to be evacuated by the fire department). I also know a resident who was trapped in the elevator when it stopped between floors. Also, the office has not been depositing rent checks for the past two months. Nobody knows what is going on with that.
I have not heard of the other place you mentioned - Metropole, but it's gotta be better than 2600 Gramercy. There are several apartments near the Med Center. I recommend using apartmentratings.com. But DO NOT rent at 2600 Gramercy! You will reget it!

I happened to run across this page while googling 2600 Gramercy because I needed to call the office and forgot the number, of course for complaints, anyways...I felt sorry for you and would feel even more sorry if you moved her.
Metropole, on the otherhand, is really nice and a bigger company so although they havn't opened yet you know management will be pretty standard. Metropole is right of 59 which is in my opinion better to me because you are not in all the congestion of Medical center but still close
