Commute from midtown to humble
Hi all,
I may have a job lined up in humble, but i would prefer to live in the city, possibly midtown. I kno the commute from humble to midtown is about 45-50 min via 59. What about the reverse from Midtown to Humble? One would think driving away from the city would be faster, no?

Going that way at least, yes. If you don't have a wreck or anything you should be looking at about 30 minutes each way.

I don't think it will be bad at all. Just depends on what they are doing with the construction on 59 on any given day.

Right now the only reverse-commute I'd just about refuse to do (although everything has a price) is 290. I have not been on 290 in about a year, and it's been a great year.

I was on 290 this morning. I'm taking the rest of the day off to get over the stress of it.

Reverse commuting @ 5ish PM, I'd also avoid 59 (SW) from around Chimney Rock all the way to downtown. It's at least as bad as 290.
Coming down 59 (Eastex) from the north shouldn't be an issue aside from an odd accident. Once you get downtown it will be pretty bad.
