Like mentioned, some neighborhoods aren't bad. If you zoom in on Glenbrook (I really hope the historic district efforts are successful!) and Garden Villas on crime maps or look them up on the COH statistics pages, the incidents mainly happen on Bellfort, Broadway, and Telephone - where all the retail and apartments tend to be.

I even lived a little north up Telephone and never experienced problems - of course there was the occasional police sting (probably prostitution) at the Vietnamese bars near Telephone and Long, but that ain't nothing new...

Okay you are looking for areas along BW-8 between Channelview and Humble according to your original post - so I am thinking Fall Creek, Summerwood and a few others less expensive have sprung up along the BW near Hwy 90. Some of the homes look decent (from the BW) in the BW/Woodforest area but I have never exited there so I don't know if they are or not. A bit too close to industry though.

Sorry! Maybe it should have been E/NE. I am looking at the map and I have never ever heard of some of these places, Sheldon? There is a subdivision west of Beltway 8 and N Lake Houston Road which I do not remember existed back in 1996 or maybe it did? The location is just so weird because there are virtually no stores in that area.

There are a lot of new neighborhoods in that area. I would recommend Summerwood or Fall Creek. Be careful of the ones inside Beltway 8 off of Lockwood and E Mt Houston. That area could flood(has in the past before the homes were there).

kaitlyn2 is on a distinguished road
Summerwood is a great neighborhood with trees, ponds, ducks, and wholesome people. Its location is ideal too!
