I'm way past 30 but I love The Volcano. Esp go there when the have one of their frequent visits from live brass bands from New Orleans. They also have reasonable priced drinks for an inside-the-loop (Rice Village) place and not too bad bar food.

We went to the Volcano for the 1st time in years last night. It's the same as it was 15 yrs ago & the frozen screwdrivers were the best ever. The 25-35 crowd is definately alive & well the Volcano!

If you like Jazz/Blues I would have to suggest Sambuca! This is my favorite spot. Live music, great food, relaxing atmosphere with patio. Its just down the street from Cabo which is also a fun place in downtown to hang out. The atmosphere at Cabo is more casual.
