Good quality builders in ShadowCreek Ranch?
Hi,
We are relocating to Houston and are thinking about buying a home in Shadow Creek Ranch. Can anybody reccommend good quality builders and also are there any builders out there that we should stay away from?
Price Range that we are interested in is 300,000-450,000.
Some of the builders building in that community are
Coventry,
Wilshire
DR Horton
Ryland
David Weekley
Thanks for any input!!!

Agree that Coventry is reputable. I know some people that have had problems though, no builder is without faults.
This is repeat of a prior post. I can recommend NOT to go with Wilshire. Horrific service through the entire process. We were actually aware of the poor reputation before we bought, but because their houses aren't selling, we got an outstanding deal.
We are pretty easy-going folks. We kept a list of build problems through the house, which we regularly conveyed to the builder and were summarily ignored through the building process. At closing, we still had a long list which we asked them to put in writing that they would be fixed after closing (horrible idea right? Getting pushed out of our rental because build time was 6 months longer than promised, so we had to move). Builder starts screaming at us at the top of his lungs like a maniac that his word is good and we are calling him a liar by asking him to put anything in writing and we should should just walk away and let them keep the deposit. Crazy! Anyway, just one short example of a horrible building process. Moderator cut: personal info

Reason: Be careful please; consumer complaints are not allowed here; do not post someone's name either.

DR Horton has a really bad reputation and numerous complaints so I would avoid them. Coventry or David Weekley would probably be your best best.

Hallmark Design Homes is a smaller not as well know builder.....You can get more for the price with them.though I am not totally sure they are still there I would check their website. I have also seen that Perry despite being pricey is a great home
