I love Taipei. It's just right outside The Woodlands, on 45 S, if my memory is correct, it's just south of Woodlands Parkway. There's a PF Changs also, right off of Lake Woodlands Pkwy.
There's a buffet right on Sawdust...I remember it being pretty good. I can't remember the name.

Are you speaking of 88 Grand on Sawdust? It's okay but my dh says its not the best which is why I was looking for something else. We like PF Changs but not quite what we were looking for. Now, we never been to Taipei so I def. want to check them out. Thanks!

You might want to make a road trip on Sunday for fun and go to Chinatown. Ocean Palace for Dim Sum. Then shop the Hong Kong Market.
Also, if you shop the Galleria, Gigi of Hunan Post Oak Fame, has opened Gigi Bistro. It's extremely tasty. Yao in town is good, but not not as fun as the other too.

Regarding Taipei in The Woodlands:
Does it any way taste like Pei Wei or PF Changs? Neither are my favorite (sorry!) so I wanted to get any idea before ordering.
ETA: never mind...I just ordered delivery...too hungry to wait for replies, LOL.

LOL Sam!! No, I didn't think they were like Pei Wei or PF's. I know what you're talking about...I think Taipei is pretty on the up-and-up traditional Chinese, not so much "fusion" type stuff. I love their cashew chicken!

Hey MTF - NOT bad! I just ordered mongolian beef & kung pao chicken for DH. The mongolian beef was still a little too sweet for my liking but the kung pao, while not really very spicy at all, was very flavorful otherwise. The kids gobbled the kp chicken right up, too, so that's a plus for Taipei. Based on just 2 dishes, I would say that it's better than PF Chang's & Pei Wei...a little closer to almost authentic. Have to admit that I'm looking forward to being a bit closer to Chinatown!
