I personally would NOT buy this property. Only because, you might like your neighbors now, but what if they sell the other half to someone else..a little to close for me...I lived (rented) this type property in Louisiana, years ago, and I really didnt have a problem..rarely saw the other people, BUT...I did have a problem with people knocking on my door all hours of the day and night, by mistake...guess it might be good if you owned this property for rental.

Thanks to all for your insight. I guess my next step would be to contact the realtor about what the association fees cover. How about your thoughts on this side of Spring (77373)? The subdivision is called Postwood. Is it a safe area? I know the airport is to the south...how much noise, if any, would there be? The price was so good on this property, but I don't want to go "out of the fire, into the frying pan" so to speak.

1/2 a duplex sounds like a 1/4 of a house. It should be called "buying a side of a duplex" instead and choosing to buy the "left side" vs. the "right side" or vice versa.
