Default What is life like in Conroe/Woodlands area?

We are relocating to Conroe/Woodlands this fall, is this a good place for young professionals who want some acreage for horses but don't want the complete quiet country life?

Conroe and the Woodlands are very different from each other. Conroe is a bit of a run down small town and The Woodlands is an upscale family oriented MPC.

The older part of Conroe is well, the older part. Most cities have an "older part"

There has been ALOT of new construction, homes, shopping malls, restaurants..

In fact, there is a huge brand new mall off Teas Rd

It was? Maybe added on to, but I dont know of the mall itself being "redone".

I dont have horses, but I do know there are areas near me that board them, and a lot of homes around that have the acreage and own horses. Also, my dil's family lives in Conroe, and they have a gorgeous home! And, lots of building going on there still...and, The Woodlands has what I would call "slum" areas too...

Look in Crown Oaks; its about 10 minutes from both The Woodlands and Lake Conroe. Most of the homes in there are on 1-3 acres and the deed restrctions allow for 1 horse per acre. This area fits what you are looking for I believe.

You know what they say. If you have too much money buy a horse or a boat and that should help solve the problem.

Lol, absolutely right... This is what I know about boats; the best days for a boat owner are the day you buy it, and the day you sell it, and boat stands for
Break
Out
Another
Twenty
