Info about kingwood houston, tx (Manor, Point: real estate, homes, neighborhood)

I'm not sure if Kingwood is a neighborhood in Houston or if it is a little town on the out-skirts of Houston. I would like to know a little information about the housing marketing and if I can find a home from $100,000-$150,000. I went to a website but it wasn't really helpful about the location.

Hi Teetah! I have lived in Kingwood since I was a child now raising my family here. Kingwood was annexed in the mid nineties by the city of houston. It is a master planned community 14,000 acres and about 65,000 people (I think). On har.com, kingwood is divided by its villages. You should be able to find a home in your price range but will be older 25-30 years old. When searching try woodland hills, trailwood, bear branch, hunters ridge, elm grove, kingwood place (built in the 90s), sherwood trails, and kings manor (newer but in montgomery county and attend new caney schools which is fine imo) There are good deals out there. Good luck.

You could also use the zip 77339 with your price range and sort by subdivision.

If you are looking for newer homes you could try Summerwood or Lakeshore communities- not Kingwood, but nearby. Lakeshore has some new Pioneer homes from the $130's and Perry or Plantation homes from the $170's (but in this market you can always negotiate).
