So? SAC still sucks and people from there have no business making fun of other cities (except Bakersfield, Stockton and Fresno).

Born in NY, raised in suburbs of Los Angeles, 4 years in Berkeley, 2 years in NYC, 4 years split between San Diego and Los Angeles until moving to Houston for school. I'm loving Houston, but once I'm done with school, I do hope to find work in SoCal so I can move back to San Diego. Each city has its own disctinct charms, but being raised in SoCal, it will always be home to me.

yes, I'm from CA (san jose and sacramento areas) but moved to the houston area 5 yrs. ago after my enlistment ended. I was married, in my mid 20s w/ 2 small kids and couldn't find anything near my fam. in ca. Came to the h-town area when i visited a friend and was impressed, so we ended up moving here. I don't regret it! I enjoy it and the ppl do seem friendlier, plus more bang for my buck is always welcome! since then I've also kept some roots in n. ca b.c. we bought another house there, so it's only a ghetto fabulous $120 southwest flight o/w away (if planned in advance) if I am missing anything about it. seen what i've wanted to see there in ca and it's surrounding short day trips, so it's really never a pressing need 2 go, but the option is there.
so basically couldn't afford anything in ca for my fam size and ended up here. one of my better decisions! IF i had tons of money and could live exactly where i wanted it'd be in a similar size home I have in tx but in Italy, Maui or Monterey, CA. for now and prob. the rest of my life that'll just be a day dream though =)

From San Diego (born and raised), moved to Houston last Feb.
I moved because of my boyfriend. He was born and raised here, and we met in San Diego while he was in the Marine Corps. When he got out, he wanted to be close to his family for awhile, so here I am!
