Questions about Pine Mill Ranch & Woodcreek Elementary (Pearland, Katy: neighborhood, elementary school)

Hi. We have just moved to Pine Mill Ranch and our kids will go to Woodcreek Elementary. Other than it was recently rated Exemplary (which is great), I know nothing about it. My son went to a really cute and well run elementary in Pearland so I'm hoping the Katy school will be even better (since it's Katy and has such a good reputation overall).

Does anyone have concerns about it? It seems so far away from our house.

I don't think you have anyting to worry about. My daughter
goes here, and it seems to be a very good school. I'm in
WLN, so you are closer to it that I am. We are getting a new
elementary this fall, which is right next to our subdivision. Then
is will be much closer to our home. Hope this helps. You may
want to check, to see if PMR is zoned to this new school also.

Thank you very much for your post. I learned that the elementary school that was supposed to be in Pine Mill Ranch is now, not opening until 2016. It was one of the reasons we liked Pine Mill. Thanks for the heads up on the new school opening in your neighborhood.
