Default Pool Builder?

Could any one recommend a good pool builder to use. I live out in the Cypress area off of 290.

Good luck, I worked with one guy who did a bunch of searching and questioning about pool people, and still got screwed. Now has at least one lien on his house from subcontractors, because the contractor never paid them. The pool was never finished, and has now been filled in. This was conroe area, but I don't know how large of a radius these guys work.

Wish I could help more, good luck finding one, ask quesitons and investigate the owners past. They'll go out of business and 6 months later have a new operation, new name, new location, but run the same scam.

Default Good Pool Builder (our experience)

When we bought a house in Houston in 2003 we thoroughly investigated pool builders (age of Co and history, complaints, qualifications/experience, types of pools and construction materials etc..) and checked with friends & colleagues for actual experience. Then requested 3 quotes from top 3 builders - selected on above criteria, not price! We made our final choice based on service experienced during quotation process (questions asked, interest shown to understand what WE wanted, information provided, pools and samples shown, warranty provided, payment conditions, etc..) and actually ended up with the highest bidder by a small margin (3%) - a Company in Spring, N.Houston (not too far from where you live) called SUPREME POOLS and SPA's. Now, 4 years later, we're still extremely happy it all worked out so well: large pool+spa was completed in 4 weeks (vs. 6 weeks in contract), and came out beautifully. Have had very few problems: minor cracks in pea-gravel, switch airblower, valve gasket/non return valve and cleaner pump replacement-which actually was my own fault as I forgot to put the automatic 'off' switch back and left it running whilst we were out for a long weekend...And have never paid a cent for any of the above repairs!
Service these guys give is very prompt and courteous. I short -our experience has vastly exceeded expectations!

Some call it all luck but please realize you can actually increase your chances to strike "luck" by doing your homework and using common sense. In case you do decide to ask Supreme Pools to have a look please ask for Jeff and Mike, the brother-owners and great guys to work with! Oh by the way: no, I don't have an interest in the Co, am no family/close friend but certainly have become of friend of the Co...!

Good "luck".

Hi there, are you still in need of a pool builder? It such a coincidence; my fiance ran across and old customer and that was their business. I'd be happy to pass you their name if you are still looking.

I built my pool last year and used Cool Pools and I am extremely happy. Mike Lopez the owner went the extra step to accommodate my design, features and all requirements. We had a pump leaking and he sent the technician right away to fix it. You can contact Cool Pools at Houston Pool Builder, Houston Swimming Pools, Houston Pool Designer, Custom Pools Houston, Pool Fountains or his cell phone 281 794 5558

Funny you should say that...about 2 months ago I contacted them by voicemail (another poster way back when recommended them) and when they finally did call, they would never leave a voicemail, though I of course had their # as a missed call, so I knew they had attempted contact...
Then one afternoon, I answered a call from them, and I swear, this guy not only sounded like a telemarketer, but had very limited, if any, knowledge of the answers to my (basic) questions....and kept sniffing and snorting on the phone like he was on cocaine, speed, or whatever...meanwhile rambling on almost incoherently...yep, pretty much have eliminated Houston Pools from our "pool" of potential builders...

However, Scott @ Cyfair Pools has kept in continuous touch with us, even though he is aware we are a bit away from actual building...always returns calls, met with us last fall, sends us pics, no pressure...

What do you think of him?????
