Awesome suggestions on the burgers, guy! And that's hilarious David D about the burger guys group you have going...hehe, I'd probably be a member as well if we had something like that

I just hit up Friends Pizzeria off of Westheimer. It's tucked away in the next door plaza of the new Tan Tan restaurant. My friend brought me there yesterday and was raving about their Brazilian pizza (the food is American, but with Brazilian influences).

I wasn't interested in their pizza, but instead the 'X' sized burgers. They were pretty crazy. All of the burgers include a fried egg, corn and peas and chopped lettuce with fried potato sticks (those salted snack potato sticks usually bought in a can).

All in all, the burger was good, but not great. My burger had everything but seafood int it. Burger patty, flank steak, grilled chicken, ham slice, egg and bacon. I really didn't like the pea/corn/chopped lettuce thing they had going on...not my style. Too messy and I don't see how it adds to the burgers taste in a positive way. This burger was all over the place. Didn't dig the chicken either. The beef patty, flank steak and bacon tasted great though, albeit very small portion size. I prefer a much larger beef patty. Excellent buns!

Here's a pic I snapped of the X Fominha Burger ($8.95) before I destroyed it:

There's a couple things I didn't like about this place. There's no refills on soda and it took a pretty long time for our food to come out. We were the first ones there, and it took about 20-25 minutes for a small pizza and burger to arrive. Also, me and my coworker split the bill, but the guy at the counter gave me a hard time about putting the $5 difference of the bill on my CC because the amount was too little, so I ended up paying for both of us. Said that they pay $1 for every CC transaction...I sort of get that, but it's still annoying.
