Default Knee Problems

As many of you know I drive all around town and Houston requires an insane amount of driving... so i was wondering if any of you are having knee problems on your driving leg. Sometimes I just get a tingling sensation and cant really run 100%.

Is it the car? or am I the only person with this problem?

I know this sounds like a trivial post but I was wondering if someone else was having similar symptoms and what they did to resolve them.

Try adjusting your seat, Or moving closer to school. Or both.

I drove to Victoria yesterday, I've been making drives like that for a long time and I'm feeling fine.

No problem here, and I don't think you know the definition of 'insane amount of driving' yet. Anyway, it's probably the seat in your car not molding to your body properly. If you don't have a 6 or 8 way power driver seat and tilt steering, this could be a real issue. I personally won't buy a car without these. You may want to look at a pricey seat cover that will soften up the seat... one you can just sink into.

There are good reasons why big cars & SUV's are popular in cities where you sit in your car for 1-4 hours a day, or drive over potentially torn up streets.

I used to have issues once in a while with my left knee when I drove a car with manual transmission. Mainly because of stop and go traffic and residual knee issues from a previous life when I ran for fun...

I drove my 1991 prelude on westhimer road once during rush hour and my leg was sore the next day from having to push gas brake clutch. People in houston like to stomp their pedals and drive automatics with both feet.

I'm short, and I find that seats with long bottom cushions will cut off circulation to my legs unless I sit too close. As a result, there are certain cars that work better for me than others. Unfortunately (or fortunately), they are usually European brands, LOL.

Use cruise control so you don't have to use your feet.
