Your Realtor should be able to answer all of your questions for you. If they don't know, seek a new Realtor. If you don't have your own Realtor, then get one. A buyer's agent is free to a buyer as the seller pays the commissions. Don't invest in a home without the advice of an expert!

Yes, we loved this other house, but it's on Floral Leaf Court with Research Drive not behind it--and standing in the yard we could hear major road noise. Too bad because it would be our first choice if it were just somewhere else.
DO NOT buy a house that backs to a major road. There are plenty others to choose from!
Not having a pool will not hurt your resale. Not everyone wants the maintenance of a pool. And there are many parents of young children that do no want the safety hazard of a pool.

Check out GreatSchools.net to find objective school ratings. I used it when we moved to NJ 3 years ago and now we are moving to Texas and I'm using it again - and we picked the Woodlands mostly based on the school ratings. The fact that I've been there many years ago & know how beautiful it is doesn't hurt either!
