Default best month to get married?

Hello all,
I am relocating to Houston from the east coast soon and plan to get married there by early next year. It will be a very small family-only wedding (~25 ppl). Which month is the best regarding weather? We are considering March, April, or May, maybe June...

If you want to be outside in temps of 104 degrees (but it feels like 125 degrees), you should hope for a repeat of June 2009

I would vote for April.

You risk getting rained out in the spring. Go for Fall. October and September are usually pretty nice... provided we aren't attacked by another hurricane.

Hmmm, lets see:

Spring Wedding - March, April, May: good chance of rain in these months. March can have some freak cold/freezing spells, and April = showers, but the trees are blooming and it's very springy feeling. May it's starting to get hot if you want an outdoors wedding, but can be a good month.

Summer Wedding - June, July, August: HOT. Do NOT do an outdoor wedding during these months unless you provide AC, fans, and free ice cold beer for your guests!! June typically is a VERy busy month for weddings.

Fall Wedding - Sept, Oct, Nov: Great months weather wise (although Sept is still going to be very very warm). Downer here is Hurricane season. It's crap shoot for that since you are typically planning way far in advance!! And while we might not get a hurricane, we can get a lot of rain from tropical storms and weather from the gulf.

Winter Wedding - Dec, Jan, Feb: Great weather wise - even a little chilly!! Would have to compete with holidays. My anniversay is jan. 31st and I loved having a winter wedding.

Of the months that you suggested, I would go with March or April. Probably early to mid April if I had to choose, only because you have sprink break in March, and if you ever want to get away for your anniversary in the up coming years, it's expensive to travel, and you have spring breakers everywhere.

May is good too, but early May. Otherwise too hot. And again, if you travel in later years on the anniversary, travel expenses go up later in the month because school starts letting out, and airfare, cruise fare, etc. shoots up.

Good luck with whatever you decide, and best wishes on your wedding.

Of all the months you listed I would definitely choose March. I just moved here from the DC area and I think it gets very hot here after March. If I had my pick of all the months in Houston, I would choose January. In my opinion, the weather in Houston is ideal in January/Feb.

I think October in Houston is the best month. Just starting to cool off and typically little rain.
