How is the OP spreading rumors? It sounds like you just confirmed it.

Well, there is one possibility....the news channels generally do not report suicides (we have discussed this on this site before). Maybe it was a suicide and that is why nothing has been said on the news.

I don't see anything in the news... not even the Fort Bend online news... if there was suspicion it was anything other than a suicide I'd think we would have heard something by now.

Yeah I was just talking to my family about this and it could very well be a suicide -- there wasn't anything in the news this morning about it, but my parents tend to think that if it was a murder they'd try to cover it up because of the neighborhood that it's located in(the neighborhood literally sits on sweetwater country club's golfcourse). It wouldn't look good for Sugar Land, but I guess that's the media for ya. I'm gonna find some updates today, yesterday was just a mess, everyone in the neighborhood was calling each other to see what was going on and why there were so many cops out. I'm gonna keep looking for a source though for those of you that think i'm bull****ting, although I wouldn't make something like this up, that's kinda ****ed up.

Why not be your own "source" and call up the local TV stations (or the Chronicle?), tell them what everyone in your neighborhood is talking about, and ask them to check it out? Especially if some people think the police are trying to "cover it up" the media would be on it for sure, I'd think. (You know, one of those "reports you'll only see here on Channel XX!!") Just a thought.

I also checked the Fort Bend section of the Chronicle online and see nada.

When I ever run across something news worthy while listing to my police scanner I hit up KPRC with a email about the info

I don't buy the conspiracy theories.
If it's a murder, it'll be on the news.
It's a nice neighborhood, but it's no River Oaks by any stretch.

This was actually the first thing I thought about when I saw this.

That said, just because something isn't on the news didn't mean it didn't happen.

OH CRAP! Not in Sugar Land!
I'm moving to Greenspoint! You can't trust ANYONE . . . so you might as well live at a cheaper rate!

But seriously though, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. That's whats up.
