cinco rangh is boring
Hello
I want to tell people the truth, cinco ranch is boring , waist of money and a very bad investment. I hope you guys are not single you will be greatly disappointed. There is NOTHING to do except get "stared "at by other boring families with nothing else to do. It is worse than living on an empty farm. It is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Kelliwood is over-priced and no one wants to know their neighbors. In fact, I saw an accident and pulled over to help, the people didn't even acknowledge me until I asked loudly. They turned their heads and acted like they did not hear me. Those people are out for themselves and will not be accepting if your not a part of the religious fanatic church (cult-like ) operations. If you walk outside to get the paper people will frown at you. Please stay out of those "click" areas like Katy, Kelliwoood, cinco ranch and others. Alot of people in Houston are aware of this, as a result you will have a hard time selling your home and your children will HATE the schools. In fact, I would suggest you look at living in Austin. Cost of living is comparable, not as big/congested, friendly, welcomes diversity, lots of politicaly knowledgable people and you will find plenty to do. Please, Please re-think Houston there is nothing to do there. There are NO parks, No real historical sites, Nothing open after 2.
_ Please be carefull and investigate the area.. I would suggest you go to the homeowners association meeting and the churches on Saturdays. You will see what I am saying.

I thought it was a strictly quiet residential area? Isn't that how it should be? To get away from the noise? It has great schools. Houston is not very far from it either.
There are plenty of parks. Its a conservative town.

Hello
It is ok to want to get away from the noise but I think that they are going to far. Because they want "quiet, conservative" they are hand-picking who they "think" are perfect families and sinless christians. As a result, they create a cult-like atmosphere. I am sure we all know what happens when a group of hipocritical self important people get together. Sugarland has one of the highest amounts of domestic voilence in the entire city of houston. I volunteered for one of the women's shelters in Houston who had to make emergency arrangements for the unpresidented high numnbers of women in sugarland needing shelter. It is so many they ran out of room. As a result, we went to the sugarland city hall to discuss alternative placement for there women and were told to leave. They did not want negative press, but I did find an article on it last year. They were also featured in a peice on sex-slaves in the suburbs.
I am intrested in telling the truth. Please tell me the names of the "plenty" parks in sugarland ?
I am not slamming the city but I think that It is not fair to leave out unpleasent things about the city. There may be people using their last dollar to come sugarland based on these comments.
The schools are not that great. They are also "hand-picking " students and have a very "suspect" school board and everyone know it.

Ummm.... this is a Cinco Ranch thread, not Sugar Land. Looks like we can just take any one of your postings and substitute any one of a dozen community names in it.
It must be great to be such a positive person. Put the mirror on yourself. Austin misses you.

Hardly. I detest the guy and his brand of divisive fear politics that demonizes certain groups.
Now, enough of the politics here. Get back to telling us something positive for a change. Life can't be 100% misery.

Cinco is a great community if you want to live in Katy. If I were to choose to live in Katy I would not look anywhere else due to resale value. People want to be in Cinco.
